It recently gave up some teaser images of the new N1 concept, just before the car was officially unveiled at the auto show in Shanghai.

The N1 is, of course, labeled as a concept car. However, insiders within SAIC have been hinting heavily that this sleek machine is ultimately bound for the production line. Those same insiders anticipate that the N1 will go on sale late this year or early in 2010.

If the car has made it to production, one of two surprisingly compact engines will be available to power it: either a 1.3 liter engine or a 1.5 liter four cylinder engine.
