shelbyWho doesn’t love a Shelby? It has long been known for looking cool and going fast — but the Shelby CS GT40 takes that reputation to whole new heights.

John Ford the second started the GT40 project rolling about forty six years ago, while Eric Broadley, the chief designer of Lola, who was in charge of building the very first GT40s.

The car has a ginormous V8, though on the racetrack at least, it tends to tamper a bit with visibility out the back window. The good news is that the Shelby does not have to be relegated to the track — you can just be content with knowing it can kick some serious butt while you are there.

Of course, that contentment comes at a serious price — $135,834, to be exact, but that ain’t bad for a Superperformance car that can go from zero to sixty in 3.2 seconds.

the Eco Elise Sustainable Green Sports Car PrototypeIf there is anything that I have learned about the Lotus car, it is going to be the fact that they are constantly switching it up, constantly changing and making sure that they are completely and totally competitive in every way possible.  That is one of the main reasons why Eco Elise Sustainable Green Sports Car Prototype was created.  Now even though this car is just a prototype, you can absolutely see that this car, if created for the masses is going to be one that is hot, great looking and overall, is going to be one fantastic car to have on the market.

The Lotus Eco Elise Sustainable Green Sports Car Prototype is going to be extremely lightweight overall and it is actually going to be a very eco-friendly sports car … which in this day and age is absolutely unheard of.  The fact that this car is going to be so lightweight does not mean that the performance has went down either – actually it has been improved!

So if you are looking for a dream/sports car that is awesome looking and eco-friendly, this car might be for you once it is built!

lamborghiniI have to confess: in the way back days of the PS, I become something of a sports car enthusiast.  The original PlayStation 2, with its overabundance of racing games, opened my eyes to a world I never even knew existed.

I can’t even remember the name of the game that did it.  All I remember is that it featured a number of different cars you could choose from, the Aston Martin and the Porsche 911 among them.  You could choose race courses in a bunch of different countries or play single and get chased by the police.  All of this sounds completely irrelevant, but there is a point: when I first saw this picture of the 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo, it reminded me of that game, right down to the landscape.  But the road isn’t what really caught my eye, oh no.

The Gallardo itself did that, with its sleek lines and low slung body.  Even at a stand still, it looks like it’s speeding along at 100mph, low to the road and purring like a kitten.  I ask you, what more could anyone want out of life?
